NASCON Allied Industries, makers of Dangote Salt, Dan-Q Seasoning Cubes, Dangote Tomato paste and Vegetable oil, a subsidiary of the Dangote Group has announced the appointment of British-trained Nigerian celebrity chef Ms. Zara Mustapha (Chef Zeelisciousss) as its brand ambassador.
The signing event which took place on Tuesday, July 19, at the Red Dish Culinary School, Abuja, will see the highly respected chef, who is also a senior faculty member at the Red Dish Culinary School Abuja campus, and social media personality represent the brand and leverage her culinary creativity to meet the evolving and very refined taste need of its consumers.
The Borno State born chef who has a flare for spice mixes and has mastered the art of flavour balancing in her words expressed her sincere gratitude to the management of NASCON Allied Industries Limited. She said “I am honoured, humbled and excited to become a part of the Dangote Family as an ambassador committed to NASCON’s range of quality products. Dangote is not only a household name, it is a family brand in its truest form, catering to the needs of Nigerians across almost every sector.”
She also said: “Today marks a significant milestone in my journey as a chef, and I am excited about the opportunity to work with a household name in cooking salt, Dangote salt, the recently introduced Dan-Q seasoning range, Dangote tomato paste, and the latest addition, Dangote vegetable oil”
On why the company decided to choose Chef Zeeliscious as their brand ambassador, and what the brand stands to gain, Olufemi Ashipa, head of Marketing, said: “We are excited at the partnership with Ms. Zara Mustapha (Chef Zeeliciousss) – who is not only an enormously talented chef, but also an outstanding professional who understands the role of food/meals and good flavour in bringing people together and building bridges across Nigeria, and one who continues to inspire young people on their path to self-discovery and fulfilment through cooking and the culinary arts.”
Also, Fatma Aliko-Dangote, executive director, Commercial, NASCON Allied Industries Plc, said that “As an ambassador, Chef Zeeliciousss would play an active role in engaging with consumers, brand communications”N adding that the company is happy to have her on board as she will be involved in its product development.
