ANAMBRA State will participate in the upcoming 29th Enugu International Trade Fair, scheduled to run from March 16 to March 26 at Trade Fair Complex, Golf Estate, Enugu.

Henrietta Basil-Ideh, the head of Commerce Department, HOD, in the Anambra State Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Markets and Wealth Creation, confirmed this at her office at Awka on February 22.

“It is regarded as the only International Trade Fair, East of the Niger and Anambra, like other states, normally participates in the annual fair,’’ Basil-Ideh said.

The HOD said the theme of the fair is: “Engendering: The Competitiveness of Nigerian Products in the Global Market.’’

“The theme was chosen to address the imperatives of enhanced business climate that will attract and sustain industrial activities, investment inflows and employment generation in Nigeria.

“It is in tandem with the current efforts of the state and Federal Government in revamping the economy, stimulating real growth and encouraging investment.

“It falls in line with the Anambra Government’s four pillars of economic development agenda and its enablers,’’ the HOD said.

She stressed that the Enugu fair was of great importance to Ndi Anambra as it would provide veritable platform to showcase the state’s economic policies.

“It will also showcase the work plan in agriculture/mineral resources, goods and services, tourism and technological attainment to the local and international community.’’
