THE Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday, January 30, in Abuja, paraded some notorious kidnappers and armed robbers responsible for the kidnap of one Hadiza Husseini, a nine-year old girl.

Similarly, the force paraded a fake Police officer who specialised in defrauding members of the public.

Arrested for the alleged kidnapping of Husseini at Angwa Bala village in Karu local government of Kaduna, were Bello Musa, 27, gang leader; Musa Sani, 33; Ibrahim Rere, 70; Hudu Yahaya, 35 and Isah Aliyu, 50. They allegedly demanded for a ransom of N500,000.00.

However, the Police said that the victim was rescued without payment of any ransom. “The suspects during interrogation confessed to the crime and admitted to the various criminal roles they played in the commission of the offence. They will be arraigned in court on completion of investigation,” a Police statement signed by Jimoh Moshood, a CSP and Police public relations officer, said.

Moshood also reported that the suspects were caught with two locally made dane guns; one locally made pistol; one short dane gun and six live cartridges.

Also paraded was one John Torsoo, 36, a suspected fraudster.

Torsoo was arrested by the operatives of the Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department, FCIID, in possession of suspected fake documents of auctioned vehicles which he used to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

He allegedly obtained under false pretence from four victims N125,000.00; N135,000.00; N100,000.00 and N84,000.00 respectively amounting to a total of N444,000.00 only.

Found in his possession as exhibits were fake documents to claim auctioned vehicles and N75,000.00 cash.

Moshood said the suspect would be arraigned in court on completion of investigation.
