WILLIE Obiano, Anambra State governor, has stressed that his administration will continue to partner Church in advancing educational development initiatives

Gov. Obiano said this while addressing the Anglican faithful at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, Umunya, Oyi LGA during the visit of Nicholas Okoh, Archbishop Metropolitan and Primate of all Nigeria.

He said the church was strategic in providing education for citizens hence the decision by government to offer support to academic engagements of missions in the state.

The governor announced that government would soon commence work on the road leading to the NYSC Orientation Camp to make it motorable and reduce difficulties faced by people in accessing the area.

He urged the wealthy to always support projects embarked upon by the Church to help government in an efforts at improving the welfare of citizens.

Earlier, Okoh enjoined Christians not to use their wealth in holding the Church to ransom.

He explained that there had been instances, where the faithful dictate to priests and bishops what they want because of what they gave to the Church as support.

He advised Christians to guard against fraudulent activities in the Church.
