Samuel Ogundele Adedoyin, industrialist, 79, June 4. Born in Ilorin, Kwara State, he is chairman, Doyin Industries Limited; Straco Motors Limited; Doyin Property and Trading Company Limited and Mat Manufacturing Company Limited. Adedoyin established a foundation for the handicapped and the physically-challenged children at the University of Ilorin. He is a member, Ikoyi Club, Lagos.

Lawrence Olakunle Osayemi, administrator and chartered accountant, 70, June 7. Born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, he was educated at St. Peter’s College, Abeokuta, 1962; University of London, external degrees, 1978. Osayemi started his career as factory accountant, Philips Nigeria Limited, 1969-1973; deputy finance controller, Vegetable Oils Nigeria Limited, 1973-1976; chief accountant/finance controller, Thomas Wyatts Nigeria PLC, 1976-1986; managing director, Thomas Wyatts Nigeria, PLC 1986. Osayemi, who is the current pro-chancellor and chairman of the governing council, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, is a fellow, Chartered Institute of Cost and Management Accountants; fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, among others.

Olusola Dada

Olusola Dada, chartered broker, administrator, consultant and author, 74, June 4. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Lagos, in 1970, and Master in Business Administration from the same university, in 1976. He was awarded an honorary doctorate from All Saints University of America in Business Administration in 2002. Dada is a director of many companies quoted and non-quoted. Among such companies are Wire Cable PLC, Black Wood Hodge Nigeria PLC, Lodabs Nigeria Limited. He co-founded ANCHORIA Investment and Securities Limited and became its pioneer chief executive officer in 1996. Dada is a council member of the Chartered Institute of Stock Brokers of Nigeria. He was president of Nigerian American Chamber of Commerce.
