Anambra procures new digital survey equipment for lands/surveys

THE Survey Department of Ministry of Lands, Physical Planning and Rural Development has converted from Analogue to digital style.

In a speech during the display of the ultra modern survey equipment, Okey Moka, the commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Rural Development, said the state government spent huge sums of money in acquiring the ultra modern Geographical Information System Equipment.

Moka added: “Gov. Obiano has fully changed the face of Survey Department and urged Surveyors and other staff in the department to make effective use of the new equipment’’.

In a speech, Anambra State Surveyor-General, Mr Ifeanyi Ajoku said that N40 was approved for the purchase of the equipment through the efforts of the management of the ministry.

He listed the new survey equipment to include, Dual frequency GPS, Digital Teodolites, Total station reflectors, Hand-held GPS and laptops specially configured for surveying.
