THE Coalition Movement of Nigeria, which was proposed by former President Olusegun Obasanjo to oust President Muhammadu Buhari was launched on Wednesday, January 31, in Abuja.
The launching came on the heels of the flag off of registraton of members of the movement in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital by Obasanjo also on Wednesday.
The launching of the movement at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, came a week after the letter Obasanjo wrote to Buhari advising him not to seek re-election because of his poor performance.
Obasanjo did not attend the ceremony which was graced by his stauch loyalists including Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former governor of Osun State and Donald Duke, former governor of Cross River State.
