THE Peoples Democratic Party recognizes the Idowu Fayele-led exco in Ekiti State and directs state chairmen of the party to enforce discipline in all the chapters of the party in a fair, just and transparent manner consequent upon enquiries by some critical stakeholders in Ekiti state, the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, restates that the party recognises only the state executive led by Idowu Faleye.

A statement issued by Olisa Metuh, PDP national publicity secretary,  and made available to Realnews today, July 30, described as illegal, the activities of any person or group of persons parading as the executive of the party in the state, adding that the national leadership would no longer condone such.

The national leadership said it would not hesitate to apply strict measures to enforce discipline within the party and charged any member with complains against the state executive to channel such to the National Working Committee for appropriate action instead of engaging in acts that are capable of destabilising the party.

It noted that the Ekiti state governor, Governor Ayo Fayose is a hard working and performing governor and should not be distracted from his focus of delivering on his mandate to the people of the state.

The national leadership therefore directed Faleye, Ekiti State chairman, as well as other state chairmen to enforce discipline in their chapters but stressed that the process must be transparent, fair and just.
