19th NSF: Adamawa, Borno, Ebonyi, Katsina yet to win medal

Adamawa, Borno, Ebonyi and Katsina have yet to win any medal at the ongoing 19th National Sports Festival (NSF) in Abuja, as Team Delta continues to show dominance over others with 176 medals.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the official medals table released in Abuja shows the defending champions, Team Delta having 85 gold, 38 silver and 53 bronze medals.

NAN reports that Sokoto and Zafamra recorded their first medal of one silver and one bronze each at the festival.

Rivers is also maintaining its second position with 109 medals comprising 36 gold, 35 silver and 38 bronze.

Edo and Kano also maintained their third and fourth positions with 71 and 49 medals of 20 gold, 24 silver and 27 bronze and 17 gold, 18 silver and 14 bronze respectively.

Akwa ibom, however, is making constant upward movement dethroning Bayelsa to occupy the fifth position with 44 medals of 17 gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze.

Bayelsa dropped to sixth position with 64 medals of 10 gold, 29 silver and 25 bronze, while Oyo and Lagos follow with 51 and 63 medals of 10 gold each.

The hosts, FCT, is at ninth position with 24 medals of nine gold, four silver and 11 bronze, while Abia follow with 30 medals of eight gold, four silver and 18 bronze. (NAN)
