Three brothers on Friday appeared in a Senior Magistrates’ Court in Kano, over alleged criminal intimidation.

The police charged Abba Abdullahi, 25, Rashidu Abdullahi, 20, and Imrana Abdullahi, 18, with two counts of criminal intimidation and inciting disturbance.

The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Umar Tahir, told the court that the complainant, Shafi’u Shu’aibu, reported the matter at the Rijiyar Zaki Police Division, Kano on Sept.17.

Tahir alleged that the defendants on Sept. 3, at about 5 p.m., also destroyed the windshield of tricycle, worth N23,000 belonging to one Musa Usman of Dausayi Village, thinking that the complainant was in it.

He said that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 396 and 114 of the penal code. The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty.

Senior Magistrate, Musa Umar, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N20, 000 each with two sureties in like sum.

He ordered that one of the sureties must be a Ward Head where the defendants reside, while the second surety must be a civil servant not below GL 10.

Umar adjourned the matter until Oct. 8, for further mention. (NAN)
