TOLA Adeniyi, president League of Nigerian Columnists has extolled the virtues of Jimanze Alowes, writer and columnist with the SUN newspapers who died last week.

Adeniyi in a message on Monday, December 28, said:

“A Great Genius has passed.”

“Under-reported, under-appreciated,  under- utilised, uncelebrated, yet, Jimanze will be adjudged one of the greatest African intellectuals of 21st century,” he said.

Describing him as “A profound philosopher of uncommon depth,” Adeniyi added that:  “Jimanze was bold, forthright and stubbornly unapologetic about his convictions. Great Minds live forever, so shall you and your noble soul.

“Your commitment to the League of Nigerian Columnists was without parallel.”
