THE Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, has expressed great sadness at the sudden demise of nine people which occurred in the Sinoe County, Liberia. According to available reports, the deceased succumbed to a brief and yet to be diagnosed illness.

“We commend the swiftness and efficiency by which the Liberian authorities responded to the situation and particularly laud the Liberian public health management mechanism for its exemplary professionalism in tackling the present circumstance.

“ECOWAS commission expresses its deep condolences to the families of the departed and reiterates its solidarity to the Government and people of Liberia at this very trying period,” a statement from the ECOWAS commission said.
