RALPH Enukora, the N-power Agro master trainer, Ayamelum Local Government Area, has described farming as wealth-creating venture that youths can engage in order to improve their standard of living.

Enukora said this while engaging some of the N- Power Agro beneficiaries in interactive sessions at the Ayamelum LGA Secretariat, Anaku.

He urged the beneficiaries to make practical and effective use of the knowledge gathered while being trained to create wealth.

Enukora noted the lucrative aspects of engaging in poultry farming, agricultural engineering, agro forestry, rice farming and plantain plantation.

He reminded them that N- power enhancement programme was an opportunity of a life time that should be maximised.

“You must understand that this programme is to help you to better your life,’’ he said.

He, then, urged participants to engage actively in farming no matter how small.

“Do not wait until you are empowered by government. The best way to preserve knowledge is to put it to use,’’ he added.

The master trainer noted that farming was the new oil well and no longer an occupation meant for the poor.

Some of the beneficiaries, Kenneth Okonkwo, Chiedu Osadebe, Okwudili Ikene, who said they were already engaged in farming pledged to remain consistent.

They expressed gratitude to government for the privilege to be part of the life-changing opportunity.
