Anambra Government reaffirms its commitment to reposition healthcare sector

THE Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to reposition healthcare across the state.

Commissioner for Health, said that Gov. Chukwuma Soludo is determined to entrench an efficient and functional Primary Healthcare Centres across the State.

According to him, functional Primary Healthcare Centres would help to deliver quick medical services to the people in rural Communities.

Dr. Obidike said this while commissioning the Community Referral Health Centre, Oroma-Etiti Anam.

The Community Referral Health Centre hospital was renovated by Oroma-Etiti Anam Progressives Forum.

“We sincerely thank the people of this community for partnering with the state to reposition, to ensure functionality of the Community Referral Health Centre.

The Commissioner commended the group for their good gesture, urging Ndi Oroma-Etiti Anam to enroll into the State Health Insurance Agency for them to be receiving medical services with ease at all times.

Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Bar. Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne who is an indigene of the Community urged other communities to emulate the group for the continuous development of the state.

Bar. Nwabunwanne assured that the current administration will continue to deliver on its mandate.

Chairman of the forum, Mr. Sylvester Ozoemena said the hospital equipment they bought include hospital beds, examination beds, delivery mats, thermometer, malaria kits, and blood pressure kits.

Mr. Basil Okeke appealed to the State government to assist them in building doctor’s quarters, more wards, and ambulances for optimal service delivery. (MOI)
