ICPAN honours Gimba Ya'u Kumo with Hon. Doctorate in Public Administration

GIMBA Ya’u Kumo has been decorated, honored and recognised by The Institute of Corporate and Public Administration of Nigeria, ICPAN, with the “Award of Doctor of Public Administration”.

He was honoured at the Public Administrators Merit Award, and Dinner Night organized by ICPAN, held at the National Merit House Maitama, Abuja.

B.B Ali, who received the award on behalf of Gimba Ya’u Kumo, noted that the recognition of Gimba was foremost and well-deserving, especially with his historic impact and contributions in leadership and administration across several public and private organizations in Nigeria.

The ceremony was well attended by reputable persons, key players and stakeholders in the industry as well as contributors in the areas of creative administration and leadership.

Gimba Ya’u was conferred with the Honorary Doctorate Degree alongside other distinguished Administrators across several leadership structures in Nigeria.

According to the principal organiser, ICPAN is envisioned to become an internationally acceptable institute for Public Administrators, mandated to provide facilities for training and re-training of professionals and corporate managers.

He also noted that the institute is committed to develop, train qualitative leadership in the public sector and management education, as well as motivate the advancement of management and administration for generating strategies to impact the economy.

He, however, congratulated the awardees as they swore the oath of allegiance to be devoted and disciplined and abide by the ethics and principles upon which the institute was established.

Ali thanked the institute on behalf of Gimba Ya’u Kumo, stressing that the honour will continue to encourage his input and engagement in corporate and public administration in Nigeria.
