Arik Air has suspended flight operation due to its inability to immediately renew its aircraft insurance.
Adebanji Ola, Arik spokesman, in a statement issued today, said “Arik Air, West and Central Africa’s largest airline has alerted all air travellers of a temporary disruption to its operations, pending approval of aircraft documentation related to insurance renewal.”
He said the airline was working around the clock to resolve the necessary documentation, which has been a challenge because of the the long weekend public holidays due to Eid-el-Kabir. – Vanguard
