Alistair Thomson replaces Simonetta Nardin as IMF Chief of Media Relations

Alistair Thomson has been announced as the new Chief of Media Relations at the international Monetary Fund, IMF following the retirement early this year of Simonetta Nardin.
According to a statement by Gerry Rice, IMF chief spokesman and director of Communications, Alistair, in addition to being Simonetta’s deputy, has served in a number of communications roles since joining the Fund in 2009.
Prior to that, he was an international wire correspondent in Europe and Africa.
He thanked Simonetta for her hard work, dedication and professionalism throughout her long Fund career, including as chief of Media Relations in recent years, and wished her all the best in her future endeavors.
