GOVERNOR Willie Obiano has attributed the economic successes of his administration to his policies geared toward diversifying the resources of the state.

According to him this has yielded result-driven output.

Obiano said this while addressing some religious faithful at St. Patricks Cathedral, Awka.

He said that the state recorded tremendous growth in GDP because of huge investments in agriculture, industrialisation and security.

He said: “I anticipated reduction in GDP and I quickly created various cooperative societies for farmers.

“We, then, pushed in N1 billion in Small and Medium Enterprises to enable the farmers to enhance their production.

“This is in addition to prompt payment of salaries as well as the N20m Community Choose Your Projects Initiative.

“All these were to ensure adequate circulation of state resources to boost socio-economic activities.”

He re-stated his determination to implement the already approved Health Insurance Scheme, which was geared toward providing sufficient healthcare services for the people, especially the indigent in the society.

“My administration has spent N200 million for the healthcare services and renovated 63 primary health centres across the state to ensure easy access to health services,” Obiano added.
