PLENTYWAKA, a tech-driven premium bus-hailing service, has announced the launch of “Logistics by Plentywaka” (LBP), an innovation aimed at boosting last-mile delivery in Lagos.

The company said in a statement on Monday that the innovation was a Lagos-based business-to-consumer delivery service.

According to the statement, Logistics by Plentywaka removes the stressful task of transporting packages across Lagos with their range of vehicles.

The company said that customers could send packages of all sizes and fragility at very affordable rates.

It noted that informal businesses, SME’s and large organisations would also benefit from the ease and speed the service would provide during this disruptive time.

The company said that the platform would provide its customers with same-day service with an opportunity to select logistical vehicles ranging from cooling vans, trucks, and bikes.

It said that because it was committed to embedding itself into the fabric of everyday Lagos life, they had to look at how to keep goods and services moving, with the onset of COVID-19 and restrictions on movement.

Speaking on the new platform, Johnny Enagwolor, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Plentywaka said: “The effects of COVID-19 were being felt everywhere.

He noted that the world had seen a mass loss of life, a sharp downturn to global economies, and a fundamental shift in how people worked and went about their domestic lives.

“In the midst of all of this, companies like ours have had to look at how we can continue to innovate and support both businesses.

“We have worked with a number of partners, as well as many of our own drivers, to build out the infrastructure required to deliver a cost-effective and efficient logistics service.

“Furthermore, we are also pleased to be opening up new opportunities to those who have lost their regular source of income since COVID-19,” he said.

Enagwolor said the app was available on Google Playstore and IOS App store.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that PlentyWaka is a bus-sharing solution that offers commuters convenience, safety, and comfort in their daily rides.

The app allows commuters to book, pay for fast and convenient trips in real-time. (NAN)
