THE Galaxy Backbone has set up a Covid-19 Action Team to activate and implement Business Continuity Plans that would run 24 hours.

In a statement signed by the Managing Director of GBB, Prof Mohammed Abubakar,  on Wednesday in Abuja, said this was in line with the government’s Unified Communication Services (UCS) platform, which falls under the leadership of the Minister Of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantam.

“We will be making all effort to ensure that communications technologies like Voice and Video Conferencing, Email and other Online services already deployed at government institutions are fully operational.

“This is to aid public officers as they carry out their official duties during this period of CONVID-19.

“We remain committed to providing services during these trying times. Remember, let’s help each other as much as possible and together we will beat this and come out stronger.

He also assured Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government of its commitment to ensuring that its operations continue to run seamlessly.

Abubakar said that the agency has put in place measures to ensure minimal service disruptions during this period. (NAN)
