THE 2016 International CEOs’ Economic Summit, ICES 2016, a business summit organised by the CEO Business Journal is now scheduled to hold on November 28 and 29, in Lagos.

Charles Nicholas, international coordinator of the ICE Summit, in a statement said the new date was informed by the need to afford more international investors the opportunity to participate in the forum which is designed to enhance business to business matchmaking for Nigerian businesses and SME’s with foreign counterparts.

With the theme, “Promoting A Private-Sector Driven Economy Through Partnerships”, the summit would to create a platform where businesses in the country will go through an effective matchmaking process within and externally in order to create value first for these businesses as well as for the Nigerian economy.

Specifically, the organisers said the event was being organised by The CEO Business Journal “to go beyond talking and decisively raise the bar on business and commercial activities in Nigeria.”

Nicholas said the summit, slated for Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, would serve as a platform for promoting international commerce and partnerships through business to business matchmaking; proffer economic strategies that will create a more healthy economy; attract investments; utilize idea sharing and knowledge transfer; create jobs, as well as grow the country’s Small and Medium Enterprises.

Besides, it would focus on strategizing on issues and areas as Import & Exports, Telecoms & Broadband, Technology/New Media, Energy, Agriculture, Franchising and Manufacturing, affording its participants a wide array of extraordinary opportunities not yet tapped.

Unlike similar events, Nicholas said “participants at the ICE Summit will be grouped into a system known as Mastermind Grouping Support System according to their indicated sectors of interest and countries of residence. This support plan continues as a follow up ensuring the achievement of results for benefactors through business brand association, partnerships, mentorship and investment funding.” He also disclosed that the summit will bring together business executives, industry and economic experts, government regulators and investment opportunities, while also identifying opportunities where businesses can add value.

Speakers lined up include Pat Utomi; Tutu Agyare, managing partner and chief investment officer, Nubuke Investments; Nina Vaca, chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Group,; Tony Jimenez, CEO of Microtech; Jeff Vigil, CEO of My Business Matches; and Shamshudeen Usman, former minister for National Planning.
