ITU Secretary General, Zhao visits NCC

HOULIN Zhao, secretary general of the International Telecommunication Union, ITU, has paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Communications Commission’s, NCC, head office in Abuja.

According NCC’ post on its social media platforms, following Zhao’s visit, it hosted the 2nd African Preparatory Meeting, APM, towards the 2018 ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-18) today at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

The purpose of the African Preparatory Meeting, APM, is to harmonize Africa’s position on the Plenipotentiary process (PP-18) Agenda items ahead of the 2018 Plenipotentiary Conference.

The meeting was attended by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, some ministries and parastatals of the ministry of Communications Technology as well as representatives of Network Operators in Nigeria and other representatives of African Telecommunications Union, ATU, and member states.
