Ministry of Commerce installs SME data analysis systems

THE Anambra State Ministry of Trade and Commerce has embarked on installation of Small and Medium Enterprise, SME, data analysis and management system for efficiency and sustainable revenue generation.

In an interview with newsmen at Awka, Okwudilichukwu Obiefune, the head of department, HOD, SME, said he had identified some gaps in operational and service delivery structures, especially in the Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, digital applications.

“Partnership Consultant with the Ministry of Trade and Commerce will add sustainable service value through data collection, analysis and repositioned platform for e-commerce development and management for the state,’’ he said.

Ezue Onyeka, the chief executive officer, CEO, Icreon Multi-Concept and Services explained that software programme would proffer solutions toward improving public service delivery.

Onyeka noted that the project consultancy objective was to develop an enterprise resource based planning software applications for the emerging wealth creation and markets

“The objective was also for sustainable e-commerce system in Anambra State through: data analysis and interpretation, web services and capacity-building, driven by improved policy guidelines,’’ Onyeka said.

He maintained that project consultancy would also develop and maintain dynamic web-based enterprise application involving registration panel for cooperatives and SMEs.

The panel according to Onyeka is for general data update information; efficient data analysis using accounting ratios; double entry accounting transaction system; Balance sheet, income statement and trial balance reporting system.
