NACC leads Nigerian businesses on trade mission to Silicon Valley US

THE Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce, NACC, is ready to lead a delegation of Nigerian businesses to a trade mission to Silicon Valley, USA. The five-day trade mission is an effort to learn more about the available technology opportunities in the emerging market and improve Nigeria’s financial infrastructure.

The NACC in a press statement signed by Ebuka Ugochukwu, its communications executive, said the trade mission will bring together the Nigerian private and public sector to further driving socio-economic growth and development for Nigerians. He said the trade mission is an annual commitment of the chamber in promoting the development of trade, commerce, investment and industrial technological relationships between the public and private sectors in Nigeria and US.

“The five-day programme which holds from April 28 to May 3, will see delegates hosted by the Silicon Valley Nigeria Economic Development Inc,  meetings with Silicon Valley Top Executives, Angel Investors and Venture Capitalist in Information Technology; Silicon Valley Organisations (Chambers of Commerce; Silicon Valley Tech Companies; the Mayor of San Jose amongst others.

“This is a time when delegates leverage on the Chamber’s initiative to meet new International buyers and distributors, expand into new markets, exchange market knowledge, network, gain insight from industry experts and promote their business across border further generating new business for their companies. The trade mission will attract businesses in information technology, banking, agric tech, cloud technology solutions, artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, blockchain, smart contracts amongst others,” he said.

According to Ugochukwu, the NACC has been organising trade missions to the United States. He said last year, the Chamber led delegates to Washington DC, USA, where they had successful stories in new deals and investments. He noted that this year, the Chamber in fulfilling its objective of linking businesses in Nigeria to global enterprises will not only create business opportunities for participating delegates but is prepared to lead a movement of many more success stories.
