NCC Trains Staff on How to Use Facebook

THE Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has organised a Facebook Capacity Building Programme to educate its staff on how to effectively use the Facebook platform to reach and connect with Nigerians on telecommunication issues affecting them.

The programme was facilitated by a Team from Facebook, United Kingdom led by Akua Gyekye, public policy manager, Africa and Theo Lomas, election and campaign specialist, Facebook.

Tony Ojobo, director of public affairs, NCC, gave an address on how Facebook has given Nigerians a means to not just share their personal experience but also to allow them showcase their products to the world. Also, Okoh Aihe, head of online media and special publications, NCC, spoke on the commission’s willingness to adopt social media platforms towards reaching Nigerians and the International Community.

Also present at the workshop was Maryam Bayi, director of human capital and infrastructural group, NCC, Mathew Maganda, head of human capital, NCC, and other top management staff of the commission.
