THE Commission is participating at the World Telecommunications Standardisation Assembly, which is holding in Yasmine, Hammamet, Tunisia from October 25 to November 3, 2016. The Study Groups of ITU’s Telecommunications Standardization Sector, ITU-T, assemble experts from around the World to develop international standards known as ITU-T Recommendations.

The WTSA is held every four years. The Nigerian Candidates won the elections at the On-going World Telecommunications Standardization Assembly, WTSA-16, as follows: Fidelis Onah- Vice-Chairman-ITU-T Study Group 13 2017-2020; Bako Wakil- Vice-Chairman-ITU-T Study Group 20 2017-2020 and Edoyemi Ogoh- Vice-Chairman-ITU-Study Group 12( 2017-
