Coronavirus Pandemic

A biscuit firm, BELOXXI Nigeria Ltd, on Thursday, gave out 2,000 cartons of biscuits as a palliative to children in Nsukka town, and its environs in Enugu State.
Dr Victor Onye, a BELOXXI Distributor, gave out the product on behalf of the firm in Nsukka.

Onye said that the gesture was the company’s little way of giving back to children who patronised the firm.

He said the gesture was apt because children would need it more now they were at home due to COVID-19 pandemic.

“A carton of Fine Tea or Milky biscuits is given to each family for their children to ensure most families in Nsukka and its environs get one,” he said.
He urged Nsukka residents to wash their hands regularly, maintain social distancing as well as wear face masks as recommended by the Federal Government to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Two beneficiaries, Mr George Eze and Mrs Mary Ogbu prayed God to reward the company for the palliative. “This is the first time since the lockdown started, I will see a palliative targeted at children,” Ogbu said. (NAN)
