BRIDGET Nwosu, the adult education officer, Ayamelum local government area, Anambra State, has urged participants in the Post and Basic Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education Programme to concentrate more in their studies.

Nwosu, who gave the admonition at Anaku, stressed the importance of education in their lives, urging them to ensure they learn how to read and write.

She enjoined them to always come out in their large numbers to the study centres in the various wards and communities for easier participation in the programme.

Nwosu, who noted that some people who were supposed to be part of the programme had not been attending, asked them to prevail on them to be coming to school.

She said: “it is the only way they can avail themselves of the opportunity to benefit from these dividends provided by the state government.

“With education, you can acquire experience on how to be involved in leadership position, get employed, read and study your Bible and manage your homes.”

She noted that there was no age limit to acquiring education in life, saying that it could either be at youthful age or at an adult stage.

Nwosu listed the study centres in Anaku community to include Community Primary School Ikenga, Central School, Umuri and Umuezeaga Primary School.
