THE Bilyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia in Jigawa, on Friday, says it has been granted approval by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to offer National Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology.
The Rector, Prof. Zulkifilu Abdu, made this known in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse.
The Deputy Rector, Alhaji Suleiman Garingabas, who spoke to NAN on behalf of Abdu, said that the programme would begin from the 2018/2019 academic session.
According to him, the NBTE has also approved the screening and verification of facilities for the teaching of the course for its commencement.
He added that “with this development, all hands are on deck to start computer engineering as from June 2019.”
He, therefore, advised prospective candidates to avail themselves the opportunity to apply for the programme. (NAN)
