EFCC Quizzes Achike Udenwa over Campaign Fund

ACHIKE Udenwa, former governor of Imo State has been quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly receiving N350 million from Senator Nenadi Usman, director of Finance, Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation.

Realnews gathered that about N4 billion was paid into an account with the central Bank of Nigeria from which Nenadi disbursed funds to several politicians for the 2015 presidential election campaigns across the country.

Punch also reports that a source at the anti-graft agency confirmed to its correspondent on the telephone that Udenwa was quizzed but added that he had since been released.

“Udenwa was invited on Tuesday and was quizzed for several hours. He was, however, released around 9pm and will cooperate fully with us,” he said.
