GOV. Willie Obiano has received a reinforcement team from the Nigerian Army to assist in restoring peace and security in the state.

The team known as `Nigerian Army Women Corps Special Forces’, was deployed for internal security in order to fish out the hoodlums who had invaded the state.

Addressing the team at the Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, Gov Obiano urged them to deploy their high levels of professionalism in the discharge of their duties within the period of their stay in the state.

The Governor also enjoined them to work harmoniously with the Nigeria Police, Navy and other security agencies in ensuring peace and unity in the state.

“They are here to support the state over the challenges in the aftermath of #EndSARS.

“Anambra has zero-tolerance to kidnapping, robbery, and other crimes.

“We are expecting stop and search, night patrols and other measures to curb crime in the state.

“We will provide every necessary logistics to achieve maximum and excellent results,’’ Gov. Obiano promised.

The team at the end of the formal reception displayed gallantry and show of force to the admiration of the people at the event.
