THE Eko Electricity Distribution Company has assured its customers that it will fulfill its obligation of providing constant electricity to all customers within its operational network during the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations. The power firm gave the assurance in a statement on Wednesday, with the title ‘2020 Eid-El-Kabir: EKEDC assures customers of constant electricity.’
In the statement signed by Godwin Idemudia, general manager, corporate communications, the company promised that there would be adequate power supply to add colour to the celebrations. “We are happy to provide all our customers with adequate electricity during this period of celebration. We, however, appeal to our customers to fulfill their obligation of paying their bills while we provide them with improved service delivery.
“Our staff will be on the ground 24/7 to attend to the needs of our customers in order to ensure a memorable and enjoyable celebration at a time when the world is still battling to contain the spread of the coronavirus. This time, unlike others, the celebration will have to be in line with social distancing measures recommended by the authorities.”
Idemudia urged all customers to adhere to the safety guidelines laid down by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, the federal and state governments to help control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
