South Africa says it will in February launch more renewable energy contracts aimed at finalising a long-term plan for the country’s energy sector.
Energy Minister Jeff Radebe made this known on Wednesday in Johannesburg.
“We are aiming for February for another round of renewable energy deals,” Radebe told Reuters, when asked when the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) would be completed.
He added that, “Straight away after that we will launch more renewable energy contracts,” to strengthen the energy sector. (Reuters/NAN)
