The actors, who marched with various placards with various inscriptions asking for the release of the girls, were later addressed by Adeyemi Ikuforiji, speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, who assured them that government was doing everything possible for the girls’ release.

Kuforiji said that the public might not be aware of things that were being done to release the girls but that government was alive to its responsibilities. He commended the actors for having the nation at heart and joining in the clamour for the release of the girls. Ikuforiji assured them that he would take their request to the government and thanked them for their efforts.
