THE Kano State Censorship Board has suspended operations of cinemas, open theatres, and viewing centers.

The Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Ismail Naabba, made this known on Tuesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano. He said that the suspension was necessary to check the Coronavirus pandemic.

“In compliance with the directive of the state government limiting social gatherings, we have suspended operations of cinemas and open-air theatres where celebrities make performances,” he said.

He appealed to the operators of the places to comply fully for safety. (NAN)
