Ari said this at the opening ceremony of the Jos 2019 Trade Fair in Jos on Monday.

He said that ITF was the foremost skills development agency of the Federal Government and at the forefront of the current efforts to equip Nigerians with technical and vocational skills.

‘’We have identified huge potential in tourism sector, which is why we are set to establish a training institute in tourism and hospitality management.

The fund has identified tourism under the services sector as one industry with the greatest potential for job and wealth creation, ‘’ he said.

Ari said that the Fund was willing to collaborate with the Plateau Government to train citizens of the state to tap into the emerging and richly sector.

The director-general,who commended the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for its policy of economic diversification and its stance on skills acquisition, said that it was the only sustainable solution to poverty and unemployment.

He, however, appealed to the state government to buy into Federal government policies, particularly with emphasis on Presidential Executive Order on the ease of doing business.

According to him, Order harps on transparency and improving the business environs in the country.
