CHUKWUKA Wilfred Onyema, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, plans to collaborate with the Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, ASPHCDA, to grant healthcare aid to Ogbaru indigenes.
Ogbaru is among 14 local governments affected by the 2018 flood disaster.
A statement signed by Chioma N Ezenyimulu, the executive secretary/CEO, ASPHCDA, noted that approval had been given for the campaigns. “Approval was given to the House of Representatives Member Onyema to grant health aid and support to the communities affected by the river surge in Ogbaru Constituency of Anambra State,’’ the statement said.
ASPHCDA had instituted and organised a multi-antigen vaccination campaign and outreach services for the people of Ogbaru.
“Different vaccines for the prevention of various and possible outbreak of diseases plus drugs will be administered to the people of appropriate age within the LGA,’’ the statement added.
It noted that during flag-off ceremony at Afia Idemili at Iyiowa/OD/OHI Ward on March 15, clothing, mosquito nets and other relief items would be given to the indigenes.
