The risk of annual flooding in Edjeba Community is now mitigated with the commissioning of a 500-meter drainage system funded by the NNPC/Chevron Joint Venture on Thursday, September 27, 2018.

The project was executed under CNL’s Project Specific Agreement (PSA) and awarded by the Edjeba community to one of its own, Pyrammidt Company Nigeria Ltd in December 2017. Beneficiaries of the drainage project include not only members of the community, but the thousands of users of the Edjeba road linking the NPA expressway.

“This occasion demonstrates yet another example of the NNPC/CNL JV’s efforts to improve the welfare of the people in our operational areas and beyond,” Esimaje Brikinn, Chevron’s general manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs, PGPA, who joined other dignitaries in commissioning the project, said.
