FG to spend N900 billion on subsidy

THE federal government is to spend N900 billion on subsidy payout to oil marketers in 2022.

Zainab Ahmed, minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning stated this Thursday, July 1 while presenting the Medium Term Expenditure Framework/Fiscal Strategy Paper for 2022-2024 in Abuja.

She said the federal government will spend N13.98 trillion in the 2022 fiscal year and that in 2022, it will slash the capital expenditure to N3.61trillion from the N4.37trillion approved for 2021.
