THE EU on Wednesday gave Google 90 days to end “illegal” practices surrounding its Android operating system or face further fines, after slapping a record 4.34 billion euro ($5 billion) anti-trust penalty on the US tech giant.
“Google must now bring the conduct effectively to an end within 90 days or face penalty payments of up to 5% of the average daily worldwide turnover of Alphabet, Google’s parent company,” the European Commission said in a statement. (AFP)
