SAUDI-led coalition involved in a war in Yemen on Tuesday announced the interception of a ballistic missile launched toward Saudi capital of Riyadh.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that the coalition spokesperson Col. Turki Al Maliki said that the missile was shot by Houthis from Yemeni city of Sanaa and targeted civilians.

On Monday, Al Maliki said that the kingdom was targeted by eight bomb-laden drones and three missiles, all of which were destroyed.

The attacks by the Houthis took place after the coalition’s welcome of the decision to hold a meeting in Riyadh between Yemeni government and Southern Transitional Council to push forward the Riyadh Agreement for the stability of Yemen. (Xinhua/NAN)
