CHRISTIANA Obiano, mother of Willie Obiano, Anambra State Governor, will be buried on Thursday, July 20. Obiano stated this when he received some groups who paid him a condolence at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.

He expressed gratitude to the various groups for commiserating with him over the loss of his mother, saying that it has greatly relieved his grief, asking them not to relent in praying for him and his family, especially at this trying period.

Earlier, Valerian Okeke, the Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha,  said although Christiana Obiano died at an old age she will be missed by many. He prayed God to grant the Governor and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Also, Okwudili Ezenwankwo, president, South East Amalgamated Markets and Traders Association, SEAMATA, and Norbert Obi urged the Obiano family to be consoled by the fact that God granted their mother long life.

Justice Umeadi, State Chief Judge,  described late Obiano as a woman that lived a very fulfilled life which is evident in the enviable height her children attained in life.

Similarly, Okezie Ikpeazu, Governor of Abia State, has condoled Governor Obiano, noting that the deceased lived a good and long life worthy of emulation.

Ikpeazu on behalf of the Government and people of Abia State, called on Obiano and the people of Anambra State to bear the passage of Madam Obiano with fortitude.
