A Political Group, the Arewa Decides, has solicited support for the Peoples democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and cautioned youths and women against selling voter cards.

At a sensitisation campaign in Gusau on Tuesday, the State Coordinator of the group, Abubakar Imam, advised youths and women to use their cards to vote for credible candidates.

He charged residents of Zamfara state to use the forthcoming elections to avoid monies politics in order to salvage the country from insecurity, socio-economic and political challenges.

Also speaking, the PDP National Officer, Hajiya Hauwa’u Balarabe, said women are the leading voters and should exploit their strength in voting the PDP in all elective positions.

According to her, the country’s politics is no longer a money based venture, so nobody should exchange his civic right with money that will not sustain them for even a year let alone the four years term.

She urged women to mobilise votes for PDP right from president down to the councillors, as it’s the only remedy for Nigeria socioeconomic challenges.

Balarabe added that Nigerians needs security, employment, fight against hunger, and poverty currently around the country and Zamfara in particular.

‘’With the nature and experience of Atiku Abubakar, he will no doubt overcome these issues and produce better Nigeria for the younger generation,’’ he said.

In his remarks, the PDP Chairman of Gusau Local Government, Anas Birninsin, said APC failure was enough reason to elect PDP in the 2023 general election, especially in Zamfara.

‘’Take a look at all developmental of Federal Government in the state ranging from Federal University Gusau, Federal Medical Centre among others were all handwork of PDP. And to date APC had no single project to show throughout the state.’’(NAN)
