Hajj 2018: FCT, Sokoto pilgrims begin home-bound journey

THE return flight of Nigeria’s pilgrims after performing this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia began on Monday with 484 pilgrims from FCT and Sokoto State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that Flynass Airline conveyed 225 FCT pilgrims and one official from Jeddah Airport in the inaugural flight to Abuja.

The airline also evacuated Sokoto’s 259 pilgrims from Jeddah, bound for Sokoto in its second flight, totalling 484 pilgrims.

The home-bound journey began on schedule after series of post Arafat consultations by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The inaugural transportation from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia for the just-concluded Hajj took place on July 21 at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja with 446 Kogi pilgrims.(NAN)
