The State Commander of NDLEA, Mrs Anthonia Edeh, disclosed this in a statement issued to journalists on Monday in Calabar.

According to her, the suspects were found with 1, 273 pinches of heroin weighing 223 grammes; some powdery heroin weighing 32.3 grammes; and 842 pinches of cocaine weighing 83.1 grammes.
The state commander said that the total weight of the heroin and cocaine was 418.3 grammes.
“The suspects will be charged to court immediately the investigation is completed,” Edeh said.
She commended the operatives of the state command for their gallantry in the arrest of the suspects who she described as hardened drug trafficking gang.
“This shows that no matter how mystified a criminal is, the long arm of the law will eventually catch up with the person,’’ she stated.
The commander appealed for more information from members of the public on the nefarious activities of drug traffickers in the state.
“With the usual support of members of the public, we will sustain the onslaught against all forms of drug trafficking and abuse in the state,’’ she added-NAN
