Idemili would be missed by his wife, children, relations and well-wishers. Florence Idemili, his wife said her husband was a man after God’s heart while he was alive. She noted that Nna Chimma, as she fondly call him stood strong with God as his pillar of support and helmet on the day of battle.

Chimdimma Idemili-Chukwuanu, his only daughter, said her father was a rare gem, a great professional and vocational teacher. She described him as a teacher’s teacher, an icon of truth, a disciplinarian to the core and a devout Catholic.

On his part, Kenechukwu Idemili, son, said his father left when he most needed him. “Daddy, you simply left me in a state of confusion. Always day dreaming for you to come back, I’m at cross road. Your counsel, pet, advice and encouragement I can’t get anymore. You have made me a young man in an old man’s body. I promise father to keep your house the way you left it,” he said.
