REP. Babatunde Hunpe, representing Badagry Constituency in the House of Representatives, has urged Muslims to imbibe the spirit of love, patience, equity and humility.

Hunpe, speaking on the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, advised Muslims in Badagry to continue to live in peace and harmony with their fellow human beings.

In a statement in Badagry on Monday, the lawmaker urged Muslims to see the birth of the Holy Prophet as an occasion for the renewal of commitment to ideals that would enhance peace and prosperity in Nigeria.

Hunpe described the guiding principles of unity, peaceful coexistence and tolerance as virtues critical to the growth and development of the country.

He said that Prophet Muhammad and Islam preached doctrines that were necessary for building a peaceful and virile society.

Hunpe also advised Badagry residents to put their trust in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for better things to come.
