THE Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, has warned the general public that the agency is not recruiting. Muhammad Babandede, comptroller general of Immigration, said the public should be mindful of a fake recruitment advert and exercise taking place on a fake website https/nis/recruitmentname.ng where unsuspected Nigerians are being duped.

A statement signed by Sunday James, public relations officer, NIS, made available to Realnews on Tuesday, January 14, said the immigration recruitment exercise has always being advertised in reputable national dailies and television and on its website: www.immigration.goc.ng and it is free.

“The service is hereby dissociating itself from the exercise and advising Nigerians against subscribing to it, as on-going in the Service.

The comptroller general is hereby advising the general public to desist from patronising them and report any suspected case to the following platform and telephone number: nis.servicom@nieriaimmigration.gov.ng, 07080607900,” he said.
