Isoko North Local Govt plans to hold Trade Fair on May 18 

THE Wife of Isoko North Local Government Council, Gloria Imarhia Iredia Iteire, has said that plans have been concluded to host a trade fair and exhibition on May 18, 2021.

Iteire said during a meeting held at NULGE Hall in the Council Secretariat in Ozoro on Wednesday, May 5, with the wives of serving male Councilors in Isoko North Local Government Area that some other projects and empowerment programs to be executed included World Charity’s Day, Prayer Day, Children’s Day, Sickle Cell Day, Skills Acquisition, visitations to more Orphanage homes and the aged in the various wards.

A statement by Ajirioghene Oreh, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of Isoko-North Council, on Wednesday quoted Iteire as saying that “the projects and programs are in line with the “O 5 Initiative” of the wife of the Delta State Governor, Edith Okowa”.

The wife of the Isoko North Council Chairman charged the women to reach out to the old people in their various wards and implored them to actively play complementary roles to their husbands.

While charging the wives of the Isoko North Councillors to be dedicated and sincere, she enjoined them to channel their talents and energies to lofty projects in their respective wards their husbands represent.

Responding, the wife of the leader of the Isoko North Legislative Arm, Ovuozourie Udubra, commended the wife of the Isoko North Council Chairman for convening the meeting and the plans to economically empower women in Isoko North through her projects and programs. She assured her of the support and cooperation of the wives of the councilors.
