Court dismisses case calling for nullification of Adamawa gov polls

A Yola High Court on Friday, dismissed the case brought by the governorship candidate of the Movement for the Restoration and Defence of Democracy, Eric Theman, seeking the nullification of the Adamawa governorship election.
Justice Abdulazeez Waziri dismissed the case for lack of evidence.
The Independent National Electoral Commission announced the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Ahmadu Fintiri, as the winner of the Adamawa election, after the supplementary election held on Thursday.
Fintiri polled 376,552 votes to defeat incumbent Governor Jibrilla Bindow of the All Progressives Congress, who got 336,386 votes. – Punch
